Looking for Options for Your Child's Education?

Updated: August 27, 2020

Education Never Stops

So many parents are having to make very hard decisions about the best and safest options for their children during this school year.

The Pennsylvania Conference Education system wants to let all parents know that there are options available. Our twelve Adventist schools in the Pennsylvania Conference offer both in-house and distance learning – quality education in several formats.

What is Distance Learning?

Distance Learning is designed to connect students from any location to the Adventist school system in our Conference, both at the elementary and secondary levels. Distance Learning can create satellite campuses to our schools for those who are not able, by distance or by health concerns, to participate in brick-and-mortar school, those who want to supplement home school programs, public school students wanting to incorporate Biblical teachings, and for those who would like to expand the course programs on the secondary level.

Options

Live Interaction

Students can access class materials, assignments, and participation with daily live interaction with teachers and other students through video platforms. This is often called Synchronous Learning.

Access to Lessons

Students can access class materials, assignments, and participation through a learning management system on their own time. Live interaction is on an as-needed basis. This is referred to as Asynchronous Learning.

More Options

Distance Learning provides alternatives to meet the needs of a larger portion of our students.

Full Basic Program – Students take all basic classes for the full academic year through the Distance Learning program.

Individualized Programs – An "a la carte" approach to enhance existing education (home school or public school) for selected classes.

Advanced Programs – Advanced Placement courses or additional tutoring that might not traditionally be offered on our campuses are available through partnership with virtual school programs such as VHS or EDEX.

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,

giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
